AWS award time!

Blog Post, News

Back in 2020 Lambert Labs was given a very generic award by Clutch in recognition of the work we were doing in the AWS cloud computing space for business customers across the UK. I even wrote an appalling blog post about it.

Truth be told, however, the awards that Clutch (and many other award providers) hand out are more or less nonsense: companies nominate themselves for the awards, often with an accompanying nomination fee, and if you are the ‘winner’ of an award you then have the privilege of paying the award provider a further handsome sum of money in return for some marketing coverage, which will possibly include news articles, a trophy and an awards dinner.

Fast forward four years and this time we have received a real award. Last week at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas Lambert Labs were awarded the 2024 Sustainability Partner of the Year – EMEA by AWS. The award recognizes AWS Partners committed to achieving sustainability goals and in Lambert Labs’ case recognizes us for the work that we have done for Bat Conservation Trust over the last two years.

There are 150,000 AWS partners globally so to receive one of the ~100 awards handed out by AWS annually is a real honour. AWS’ press release announcing the award (and the other awards) is littered with some of the biggest names in technology consulting – Accenture, Slalom, Infosys, Deloitte, to name a few. For Lambert Labs to be mixing amongst these names represents a huge achievement.

The award recognizes that we have deep AWS expertise despite our size, and that AWS are happy to put us on a pedastal and highlight our strengths.

We do a lot of AWS consultancy and implementation for AWS customers across Small and Medium Businesses, Software-as-a-Service providers, Nonprofits and EdTechs. If you are looking for AWS expertise, please get in touch.
